mapping Anna-Eva
Since 2023, I have been deeply fascinated by the life and work of artist Anna-Eva Bergman (1909-1987) and her connection to an international art and cultural landscape. This project includes several artist’s maps dedicated to Bergman, but also works developed in other techniques with a clear reference to – or simply inspired by – this great artist.

How has Bergman's life and work influenced my artistic practice? This can be seen in the works created in response to the exhibition Voyage vers l’intérieur (Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris 2023). I stood in front of magnificent works by a strong artist, but also sensed the small person's encounter with the majestic landscape. We both observed a homeland as expatriates. How did Anna-Eva observe Norway, and how did she formulate this from her home in France. Do we sense longing, wonder or perhaps admiration, and
